Hey GC3 Family!

As summer winds down, I want to thank you for showing up. Your weekly commitment has helped shape the culture we’re building here.

Summer attendance almost always dips 20–30% across churches. We’ve averaged 25–30 people most weeks (out of about 45 regulars), which is actually solid. We intentionally used the summer for At the Movies and our Missions & Outreach series—both designed to help us connect with people far from God and remember why outreach matters.

A few of you have asked where Elle and I have been. We love that you notice! Honestly, we’ve asked the same about some of our regulars 😅. We’ve taken a few short trips (including one week in Savannah). Because of those vacations, our focus has stayed fully on GC3 all summer—we haven’t been to the Ringgold campus since early June until this past Sunday. We’ve been here three weeks most months and in the office every week except that one vacation. We space our time away carefully so we stay engaged. If we’ve missed each other this summer, don’t hesitate to reach out—we love this community and want to stay connected with you.

Why rotate leaders?

Our Leadership Rotation gives us the chance to develop more communicators while keeping the focus on Jesus instead of one personality. It builds a healthier, more sustainable church. Based on our rotation, you are almost always guaranteed to see Elle and me three out of four weeks each month (that is… if you attend weekly 😄). One week we lead at Ringgold, and we occasionally live stream from that campus.

Can you publish the rotation schedule?

This is something we intentionally avoid doing. Our goal is for people to attend church for worship, God’s Word, great coffee, and community—not one singular person. The rotation is in place to build, shape, and protect unity. We are one church, one mission, two locations. Our desire is that both campuses know their leaders and feel equal engagement. As a leadership team, we are excited about what God is doing and fully believe in this rotation.

Know this: I’m still your campus pastor—available for meetings, coffee, or anything you need. Just reach out.

Looking ahead to fall, I want to strongly encourage everyone to save the following dates and be a part of these services and events:

• Sept 6 & 13 – OneVite: a practical series on loving our city and actually inviting people to church

• Sept 12 – CORE TEAM EVENT at Eric and Jenna Wiles' Home from 9-11am. Please REGISTER HERE within the Core Team Group so Eric and Jenna know how many to prep for.

• Sept 19 – Community Sale Day (8am–1pm): vendors, yard-sale items, food, music, and coffee—showing Frederick we care. REGISTER HERE (Discount code: PARTNER)

• Oct 4 – Men's Breakfast: A kickstart to our annual pig roast! Men from both campuses meet from 6am-8am at Ringgold for a hearty breakfast, watch the sunrise, and to pray over the church together. REGISTER HERE
